2026 Auditions View CalendarYouth Jazz Ensembles of Brevard is a completely student led and founded, non-profit youth jazz program based in Brevard County, Florida. Our mission is to cultivate the next generation of jazz musicians. We provide high-quality ensemble playing opportunities and mentorship in a positive environment. Whether it be through challenging repertoire or individual instruction, our students will constantly be pushed to thrive as musicians and individuals.
Jazz Ensemble I is our flagship ensemble, providing students with the opportunity to explore complex jazz arrangements and develop expressive ensemble performance skills. Members focus on improvisation, collaborative musicianship, and bringing artistic ideas to life in concerts and community performances.
Jazz Ensemble II is designed to strengthen students’ foundational jazz skills and ensemble collaboration. Members focus on reading, rhythm, tone, and early improvisation, preparing them for diverse musical challenges.

Musicians are expected to arrive early to set up and be tuned so that rehearsal can begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

Walk in whenever convenient. Auditions consist of two excerpts, improvisation, and sight reading. If open seats remain, auditions will be available throughout the season.
